What a gay weekend!!!

Couple of weeks back, I attended a ballet titled Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake. I read the reviews, it sounded so promising that i just had to go.

The ballet was set in a contemporary setting and it was absolutely beautiful. The men were gorgeous, but alas, it had a gay ending.

The next day, I decided to watch Brokeback Mountain...guess what, that's gay too. I was practically watching it with one hand over my eyes.

The following day, was just watching one of my usual series on tele, guess what? its storyline was about some gay couple, BLEH!

What a gay weekend.

think twice

If you ever want to work in a child care peeps, u better think twice.

Let's see, I started working there mid Jan this year.....now it nearing mid May ....4 month's in total, N I've finally caught the flu, cold, cough virus from the walking/running/cuddly/crying germs. I can't help it, the kids are so adorable/gorgeous.

I've been sick before but never for this long that it's starting to annoy me. To date, I've been sick for 11 days.

Went to see the doc, and he said you look like you're was getting better so don't start the antibiotics just yet. After 2 days I've decided to start the medication. Pray i get well soon!!!!!
This medication makes me sleepy. Looks like I'll be sleeping with the kids during rest time, when Monday comes.

5 lies that will stop you from being active in church

  1. you haven't got anything to offer; you could be too old/young
  2. not needed around here
  3. you have to wait till you're asked
  4. you don't need to get personally involve - just support financially
  5. I've been there, and done that
We need to rise up and be ACTIVE participators. God has destined me to be an active participator.

James 1:22-25 "Be doer's"
- focus on the needs of others, be sensitive to their need.

Eph 4:11-12 "God has given us gifts"
we all have something to offer

1 Cor 12:27 "All of us are part of God's body"
-never think u're not important, as every part of our body plays an important role for the body to function smoothly

If you give God your something, he can do greater things with your something.

Are you an active participant? Ask yourself this today? How can you be an active participant today?

Easter Weekend

my first long weekend (got fri and mon off), and I'm not enjoying myself frolicking in the sun by the beach somewhere, or hiking through the wilderness. Some can call it bad planning, but i feel it's very much 'not meant to be'.

If it was meant to be, i would now be up at Cairns, snorkeling n hiking or at Brisbane, just snorkeling. Everyone couldn't commit due to work and financial reasons. But you know what, I thank God it was not meant to be. Due to the recent Tsunami hit up at Solomon Island, beaches up north have been closed.

Oh well, by not going, I got to spend Thursday night celebrating my cuz's birthday, which Shannon catered for (he made scrumpelicious pumpkin soup, roast lamb, and chocolate mousse cake) mmmm it was soooo good.

Friday night - aunt left for Bangkok and Malaysia, thus decided to spend whole day Friday with her, since it was good Friday n I had the day off. Alas, she had to go out, which left me and Shannon bumming in front of the tv; having a movie marathon.

Saturday morning, still at aunts place, uncle is persuading us to stay longer. First time home alone, i think he was feeling a bit lonely, so we (shan n I) promised to watch Mr. Bean and have dinner with him tomorrow after luncheoning at my aunts bro's place ....mmm Greek food.

As for today, Shan n I had Yum Cha with Justin, Becky and A. Nan farewelling her long stay in Melb. as she's flying home tonight.

N not to forget, this coming Tuesday night, I'm taking Michael out for dinner to celebrate his belated birthday. We're going to this place called Blue Fire http://www.bluefiregrill.com.au/ and it's an ALL you can EAT place, i wouldn't be able to afford it on my own, but thanks to a sponsor :D i now can hehehhehe

mmmmm my long weekend of indulgence :D I'm so stuffed.

Giant? ? ?

One of the little girl (2 and a half y.o.) from my room was having a conversation with her bro (4 n a bit) n his friend in the toilet. Just thought i should add the age so we r all on the same page :D
*names changed*

Tanya: This is my brother's penis (John, just stands there modeling it to his friends while his sister speaks) and this is my giant (she lifts up her dress and points to her vagina, which is probably what she meant to say)
Tanya: I'm a girl, and girls have giant, and Boys don't have giant they have penis.

Isn't she just a confident little thing ... going off like that. As a teacher u sometimes don't really know what to do in such situations.

One of the many things Melbourne is known for is its performing arts.

Over the weekend I had the chance to watch Miss Saigon with a group of friends. It's not often easy to find a buddy who is as enthusiastic in musicals as I am. Trust me! I usually watch alone, not that i mind, but it's just so much fun when you're watching with someone you know. How did i managed to get a group ...hehehehe someone pulled out in the last minute, my friend managed to sell that tix of to me and I didn't have to go and watch it alone.

How would i rate Miss Saigon, hmmm, eerrrnnmmm, I can't just say it was O kay, coz it was way better than O kay. It won't say it was fantastic ...well one character was just absolutely fantastic and i can't remember his name. Anyway, apparently a keen enthusiast mentioned it was different from the last time she saw it (this being the 2nd time she has watched it, first time was at another state). So, my conclusion for this play, I would like to watch it again but in a different country, by a different cast.

Since coming here, I've watched the producers, swan lake on ice, mama mia, miss saigon, the mikado n one more can't remember. Can't wait to watch swan lake ballet, phantom of the opera, and the nutcracker.

Okay what else happened on the weekend, Go read Shannon's blog. We had a chocolate weekend...it was sooooooo good, wish i wasn't broke coz i would have definitely bought myself yummy chocs :) unfortunately....Shannon said NO :( i don't need more chocolates in my life ....:(
bbbuuutttt it was sooo good :(

What're your favorite chocolates?

I'm not a BIG fan of chocolates, but i'll eat them. Just not crazily-craving for them.

Last year i realized i absolutely loved cheap chocolates; first being ferrero Roche, followed by snickers, and lastly Lindt Balls (Mocha bell) mmmm yumm!!!!

Which do you prefer .... milk choc, white choc or dark choc?
I prefer dark choc ...good for the heart i tell myself :D

*went for a jog at the beach, it was so beautiful. Just smelling the sea air is just divine.
Yesterday I went around the park, Wah! the smell of trees, reminds me of camping, jungle trekking...etc.

Don't u just love the smell of trees. I absolutely love how they smell so green :) mmmmm
Do u ever find yourself just stopping to smell the air when u walk through the park/jungle/hills whenever u're just surrounded by trees. It's so relaxing.
